Jerry Perera currently serves as Director of Operations for The Leyden Preservation Group [LPG] which is dedicated to preserving one of America’s foremost historical landmarks (Lot #1)
Nestled in the heart of Plymouth, Massachusetts (America’s Hometown) is Leyden Street, the first street in the 400 year story of our liberty. Located at the base of America’s first street is Lot #1 the physical location where the Mayflower Pilgrims began the American experiment with faith & freedom. Lot #1 is a nationally registered landmark, privately owned and currently under the care and management of The Leyden Preservation Group. LPG’s resources and programs are designed to foster a greater awareness of the foundations of America’s civil and religious liberty, and unique national identity.
A Sri Lankan by birth Jerry emigrated to America as a young boy. With a varied background in business, education, and ministry his passion today is largely to present a providential life and worldview. He believes the answer to the condition of all human need and freedom can only be found in the Biblical principles which offer life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Jerry and his wife Elizabeth and been married for 35 years, and currently reside in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
